His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Spain gives Novasoft the Príncipe Felipe award on Business Excellence

The company, first in Andalusia to win this award in the category of Industrial Quality, was supported during the awards ceremony by the Mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre, and the director of the Parque Tecnológico de Andalucía, Felipe Romera
MADRID 19/06/2008.- The CEO of Novasoft, Francisco J. Barrionuevo Canto, has received today an award from his Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Spain with regard to Business Excellence. On this note, Novasoft is now the first Andalusian company to obtain this award in the category of Industrial Quality and to enters the ‘Olympus’ of Spanish companies that have been recognized with this important prize, fruit of a exhaustive audit undertook by outsourced experts and valued by an independent jury. This award can be obtained by companies with a majority of private capital, that operate in Spain, and that are looking to achieve or have achieved high quality standards in its performance that results in management excellence and a competitive edge. The other Spanish companies that competed in this category along with Novasoft, and that reached the final, were Siemens, S.A., TNT y Valeo Iluminación, S.A.
The awards ceremony, held in the Municipal Conference Centre of Madrid, was presided over by the Princes of Asturias and the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Miguel Sebastián, who insisted on the high level and compromise with excellence that this year’s participants had shown. Novasoft won this award after having taken part in this competition for eight years in a row and reached the final in two of the editions. Along with the delegation of the company that travelled to Madrid in order to collect the award, the CEO of Novasoft, Francisco Barrionuevo, was accompanied by the Mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre, director of the Parque Tecnológico de Andalucía, Felipe Romera, and the director of BIC Euronova (incubator in which Novasoft was born 15 years ago), Álvaro Simón.
The Industrial Quality category is one of the most competitive of the competition, as it entails a detailed and thorough test of the company, from its account statement to its business strategy, its policies and its social responsibility. This award means that Novasoft is, at the present time, the company that best complies with these objectives throughout the Spanish territory. The company considers that each and everyone of its collaborators is responsible for this merit, also applicable to all the Malaguenian and Andalusian companies that work daily to show the potential of the region, particularly in the Parque Tecnológico de Andalucía, a role model and a worldwide reference.
